Habitat Projects

Dear Parents,

Today your child started work on their first project! We have completed a lot of work in our unit “Habitats and Communities.” Now it is time for your child to show their learning.

I have completed a sample research project so that your child will have the skills needed to research and create their own habitat project. Each student selected their own habitat to research. All the work will be completed in class so that I may observe your child researching their project. Then your child will select a way to show their learning. This means that your child may show their learning by creating a poster, write a song or use technology. It is all so exciting!

There will also be a part 2 to the project. The children will take the information gathered and create a 3D model of their habitat.

Please find the criteria that the children created together in class.

Thank you,

Ms. L. Romeo
