Math Sites
Math is a challenging subject for some people. I ask parents to play math games with their child. It will help your child change his or her attitude towards math! Here are some fun math sites that I enjoy!
Take care,
Ms. Romeo :)

Miss Marla, author of the book, "Chuck the Different Vampire," read her wonderful book to our school. Here are some pictures and video of her presentation!
I Love To Read
This week, we are celebrating Valentine's Day and "I Love To Read." It is an exciting time at Harold Hatcher School. There are many celebrity readers coming and a magician too! Please find attached a letter that I sent home about these exciting events!
February 2013
Dear Parents,
The grade 4 classes will be having a Valentine’s Day / I Love To Read celebration on Thursday, February 14. Our day will include reading activities throughout the morning and a Valentine’s Day celebration in the afternoon.
To be comfy and cozy while we read during the morning, your child is welcome to wear his /her p.j’s., bring a blanket, a favourite stuffed animal, as well as a favourite book or magazine.
I have also included a calendar of “I Love to Read” month activities. On each Thursday, I am asking that your child bring in or share ONE activity that they engaged in for the week from the calendar. It can be any day as long as it relates to reading. These activities are fun and educational for your child.
For our Valentine’s Day celebration in the afternoon, your child is welcome to bring a snack and/or a drink. If you wish to send snacks for the class to share, please let me know as we have students with peanut and tree nut allergies.
I have included a list of the names of the students in our classroom to use if your child will be handing out Valentine’s. Please remember to send a Valentine for every student in our classroom if your child is participating.
Thank you for encouraging your child to read!
Sincerely,
Mrs. L. Romeo
