Habitat Projects
Dear
Parents,
Today
your child started work on their first project! We have completed a lot of work
in our unit “Habitats and Communities.” Now it is time for your child to show
their learning.
I have
completed a sample research project so that your child will have the skills
needed to research and create their own habitat project. Each student selected
their own habitat to research. All the work will be completed in class so that
I may observe your child researching their project. Then your child will select
a way to show their learning. This means that your child may show their
learning by creating a poster, write a song or use technology. It is all so
exciting!
There
will also be a part 2 to the project. The children will take the information
gathered and create a 3D model of their habitat.
Please
find the criteria that the children created together
in class.
Thank
you,
Ms. L.

Terry Fox Walk 2013
We had wonderful weather for our annual "Terry Fox Walk." It was so wonderful to collectively walk together and think of Terry and his cause. I hope we collect enough money so Mr. Gough will have to shave his head!
A Window in My Classroom: Fall Art Projects
I am pleased to post some of the wonderful art created by my class. Our focus was the changing Fall colours. We also used water colour and paper towels to create a beautiful effect!
Turkey Trot 2013
I am so proud of these wonderful kids! They all participated in the annual divisional event called the "Turkey Trot." It is a cross country event. Way to go runners!
